Senior Accountant (Accounts Payable)

**Job Summary** The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist verifies and processes system invoices as well as requests for payment with maintains payment files and records. This position will be working closely with Line Manager and Accounting Share Services Team to assure information is up to date and accurate. The key role of this position is to ensure receives payments for services, and records these transactions accordingly include securing expenses and tax by verifying and posting payments, and resolving any discrepancies. **Responsibilities** - In charge of local accounting deliverables in liaison with Accounting Shared Services Teams in Mumbai for responsible accounting activities - Managing account payable process in liaison with Accounting Shared Service Teams in Mumba with handle the local accounts payable and generating withholding tax receipts and collect tax invoices from vendors - Follow company processes, controls and policies - Receive invoices, perform necessary validations and execute transactions with timeliness - Issue withholding tax certificates to suppliers - Collect purchase VAT with ensure VAT to comply with the local tax ruling - Assuring proper payment by validating charges avoiding duplicate payments, and preventing fraud - Validate T&E receipts and ensure compliance with T&E Company policy - Resolve issues, serve as a resource in troubleshooting complex matters and insure that problems are responded to in a timely manner - Ensure company policies, processes, and procedures are clearly defined, updated and documented - Maintaining accounts payable files and records - Performing account reconciliations - Assuring that all financial reporting deadlines are met, internally and externally **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelors degree in Accounting - At least 5 years of accounting experience - An ability to prioritize and manage expectations - A keen eye for detail - Understanding of accounting and local tax principles - An ability to work independently, confident and self-motivation - Logical, lateral thinker - Problem solving skills - The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people with positive attitude and a strong desire to get things done - Proficient with SAP, Excel, Word and Powerpoint - Fluent written and oral English and Thai The Walt Disney Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
