The Senior Accountant (1 year Contract) will lead as the key finance partner to support General Ledger (“GL”), Account Receivables (“AR”) as well as on audit, tax and compliance matters for Phenomenex Thailand (“PTH“).

You will support SCIEXs and Phenomenexs business activities as outlined above, with your official employment being under Pall Thailand, an affiliate of SCIEX and Phenomenex under Danaher Corporation.

This position reports to the Manager and is part of the APAC Phenomenex Finance team. This role will be an on-site role located in Bangkok, Thailand.

As the local PTH finance partner, you will have the opportunity to:

• Manage GL related matters, including month-end closing activities that comprise analyzing financial information for required journals, balance sheet schedule preparation, and reconciliation. This also covers the preparation and submission of value-added tax (VAT) and withholding tax (WHT) declarations to local authorities.
• Manage AR related matters, including local sales invoice processing, preparing customer statements of accounts, and collection forecasts. This also includes support for outstanding collections follow-up for PTH, Pall Thailand (Sciex Branch), and Phenomenex associated companies in the region.
• Manage Audit and tax matters, by proactively liaising with external and internal auditors and impacted stakeholders while ensuring timely audit completion. This also covers the preparation and support of corporate reporting decks, such as disclosure questionnaires (monthly, quarterly, and yearly), corporate tax packages, FIN48 tax exposure reporting packages, yearly trial balance packages, and SOX audit support.
• Ensure local operations comply with local regulatory authorities and Sarbanes-Oxley legislation requirements.

The essential requirements of the job include

• Bachelors Degree with Accounting & Finance with minimum 5 years of professional accounting or finance experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Thai accounting principles and tax regulations, IFRS is a plus.
• Experience with ERP software (D365, Oracle) and good verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to communicate with internal and external customers

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Good knowledge of MS Office (Words, Excel)
