We are now inviting qualified individuals to join the team in this specific role. **Principal responsibilities** - Create and lead a cohesive corporate, media relations and employee communications strategy in-country which is aligned to HSBCs strategy - Deliver strong positioning for the global businesses that attracts customers from our target segments and reinforces our leadership with existing customers - Create and lead a robust corporate sustainability strategy to reflects HSBCs role as a deeply-rooted leading member of the local community, investing in programmes to support the communities it services - Actively engage with functional and business peers to build and safeguard the reputation of the Bank including in-depth understanding and risk escalation of business and customer trends that could impact the Banks reputation and performance - Anticipate and identify issues that may have an impact on Banks reputation and provide insight, analysis and counsel to senior management - Maintain and share knowledge of stakeholder requirements, competitor activities and market trends to influence the future communications direction of the Bank - Manage the agreed platform strategy for senior business executive engagement with key business platforms, including development of messaging, speeches, and positioning pieces for senior executives to deliver on key business platforms - Work collaboratively with ExCo members to deliver business and functional goals - Manage functional governance and oversight to ensure adherence to all Communications and Corporate Sustainability policies - Promote an environment that supports diversity and enables meritocracy - Work seamlessly and collaboratively with the regional and global Communications and Corporate Sustainability teams as well as other key stakeholders Requirements **Requirements**: - Excellent people management, interpersonal, strategic planning, influencing, negotiation, project management skills and ability to manage ambiguities and high pressure situations - Credibility with senior executives with strong customer centricity, stakeholder management and influencing skills - Proven track record in corporate, employee communications and media relations; strong business and community networks; and excellent knowledge of Corporate Sustainability - Strong story-telling skills with proven ability to produce clear, engaging narrative - Strong people leadership to create an open and inclusive culture **Youll achieve more when you join HSBC.** HSBC takes pride in a diverse and inclusive working environment that sees our people benefit from mentoring, flexible working and the support of Employee Resource Network Groups.
